Rotate:

How to rotate an image

  1. Choose the rotation (90° clockwise is selected) and, optionally, flip horizontally or vertically.
  2. Drop or choose your images — every file gets the same rotation.
  3. Click Download next to each rotated image.

Why photos appear sideways

Phones often store photos in one orientation and add an EXIF “orientation” tag telling apps how to display them. Some websites and older programs ignore that tag, so the photo appears rotated. Rotating the pixels themselves fixes the image everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Is quality lost when rotating?

Rotation by 90° steps doesn't resample pixels. JPG and WebP are re-encoded at 95% quality; PNG stays lossless.

Can I rotate many photos at once?

Yes. Select several files and they are all rotated and flipped with the same settings.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser with the Canvas API.

What does flip do?

Flip horizontally mirrors the image left to right (like a selfie mirror); flip vertically turns it upside down without rotating.
