Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The image is cropped with the Canvas API inside your browser.
Which format is the cropped image saved in?
The same format as the original (JPG, PNG or WebP). Other formats such as GIF or SVG are saved as JPG.
Does cropping reduce quality?
Cropping only removes pixels outside the box; the pixels you keep are not resized. JPG and WebP are re-encoded at 95% quality.
Can I crop to exact pixel dimensions?
Yes. Type the X and Y offset plus width and height in pixels; the box updates instantly.
