About TIFF to JPG
TIFF is a flexible, often uncompressed format used for scanning, printing and archiving. This converter reads TIFF files with the open-source UTIF.js library and re-encodes them as JPG with the Canvas API, entirely in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is this TIFF to JPG converter free?
Yes, it is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no file limits beyond what your device can handle.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device — you can even go offline after the page loads.
What is a TIFF file?
TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) is a high-quality format used by scanners, cameras, print shops and archives. Files are often large and most websites, phones and email apps can't display them, so JPG is easier to share.
Are multi-page TIFFs supported?
The first page (image) of the TIFF is converted. Uncompressed, LZW, Deflate (ZIP) and PackBits TIFFs are decoded by the open-source UTIF.js library; some rare or very unusual TIFF variants may not open.
Is quality lost?
JPG is a lossy format, so a tiny amount of detail is lost. At the default 92% quality the difference is very hard to see, while the file is usually far smaller than the TIFF.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG does not support transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with white.
Can I convert many files at once?
Yes. Select or drop as many files as you like; each one is converted in turn and gets its own download button.
